Bring the Beauty of Fall to Your Front Door
Autumn in the Niagara Region is one of the most beautiful times of the year. As the leaves begin to change and cooler weather arrives, your front entrance is the perfect place to bring the colours and textures of the season home.
A professionally styled fall porch can create a warm welcome using pumpkins, heirloom varieties, gourds, chrysanthemums and traditional harvest accents.
1. Start With Pumpkins in Different Shapes and Sizes
Instead of using only traditional orange pumpkins, combine classic pumpkins with white and specialty heirloom varieties. Mixing different sizes, shapes and colours creates depth and makes the display feel more natural.
2. Add Seasonal Flowers
Chrysanthemums are a classic choice for fall entrances. They add colour and height while helping connect the pumpkins and other elements throughout the display.
3. Create Different Heights
One of the easiest ways to make a porch display stand out is to avoid placing everything at the same level. Straw bales, stairs and existing porch features can help create layers and give the arrangement more dimension.
4. Use Natural Harvest Accents
Dried corn stalks and straw add texture and height to an autumn entrance. Combined with pumpkins, gourds and mums, these elements can transform even a simple doorway into a welcoming seasonal display.
5. Choose a Display That Fits Your Entrance
A smaller stoop may only need a carefully arranged collection of pumpkins, gourds and a chrysanthemum, while larger porches and estate entrances can accommodate fuller, layered displays.
Niagara PumpkinGuy offers several professionally styled options, from The Autumn Entryway for smaller entrances to The Grand Estate for larger statement displays. For something softer and more distinctive, The Pastel Dreamland features an elegant palette of pastel heirloom pumpkins.
